An Ode To Balance

Wondercabinet Wellness is Anne Weshinskey. And Anne Weshinskey used to be a woman of extremes. Everything I did or said was a barrel of superlatives. My body, my mind, my emotions were all out of wack. And I was totally okay with that. . . . until I wasn’t.

I’ve always been active and have been told to “stop moving already!” I began training acrobatics and circus in the early 90s. It was perfect for me because it melded my need for constant motion with my need for constant attention.

I literally appeared ‘balanced’ because I was a tightwire walker and equilibrist for 20 years, but my imbalanced lifestyle of compulsive training, excessive traveling, substance use, poor diet, and aging eventually caught up with me.

While I have at different times over the years been certified as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, yoga instructor, and circus coach it was not until I discovered ESSENTRICS® while performing in a circus show in Toronto, Canada, that I got serious about helping others achieve balance.

At the age of 50, I appeared in a show with acrobats half my age—and it showed. After someone in the cast invited me to warm up with an ESSENTRICS workout every day for 4 days, all my tightness and pain disappeared, I had boundless energy, and I came back from Canada knowing that teaching it would be my future.

So here I am: An ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, Level 4 ESSENTRICS® Instructor, Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counselor, and Acrobatic Trainer and I finally feel balance—and know that I can help you feel it too.
